Laughing Buddhas

Vijay stood before the Kali Temple, camera in hand, captivated by golden statues of laughing Buddhas. Their eternal joy contrasted sharply with the somber faces of the crowd around him. As he clicked the shot, a question pierced his mind: “Why do we seek happiness outside when it must come from within?”
Over years of searching—from forests to temples—Vijay realized that joy isn’t something to be found, but remembered. The Buddhas weren’t mocking; they were guiding him inward. True happiness, he discovered, is a state of being, untouched by external chaos.
Smiling, Vijay lowered his camera. The journey inward had begun.
